Job summary

COLSA Corporation is hiring a Cyber Operations Analyst in Huntsville, AL. You will monitor systems, analyze data, and provide remediation recommendations to detect and correct cyber incidents.

The role requires active Secret clearance and a strong focus on cross-team collaboration in a hybrid in-office/remote work environment. You will review vulnerabilities, generate reports, and coordinate with customers to ensure effective mitigation and readiness for assessments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field; up to 3 related certifications may substitute.
• Minimum 2–4 years of related experience.
• Active CompTIA Security+CE certification.
• US Citizenship Required; Active Secret Clearance.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes network data using packet capture and network flow analysis to identify potential security incidents.
• Assists customers with remediation of cybersecurity issues including vulnerabilities and misconfigurations.
• Provides analysis, recommendations, and verification to mitigate security incidents.
• Generates monthly reports with summaries of customers' cybersecurity posture.
• Reviews open vulnerabilities daily and tracks mitigation until resolved.
• Enforces endpoint quarantine policies on extremely high risk devices.
• Coordinates with customers and teams to prepare for security posture assessments.
