HRforGrowth is seeking a Cost Estimator for a client in the Houston area to support planning, design, and pricing of bids for large dredging projects. The role emphasizes accurate estimating, review of plans, and presenting estimates to senior management, with collaboration across departments in a hybrid setting.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
Experience in cost estimating, construction estimating, or project controls preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to interpret project plans and technical docs.
Detail-oriented with accurate estimates.
Proven ability to present estimates to senior management.

Responsibilities

Produce accurate and detailed cost estimates for hard-bid projects.
Develop execution plans and cost estimates for large-scale dredging projects.
Review project plans, drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
Develop clear overview drawings for project presentations.
Present execution plans and estimates during bid reviews with senior management.
Communicate estimating assumptions and recommendations clearly to stakeholders.
Collaborate with support departments and manage multiple estimating tasks.
