Job summary

HRforGrowth is assisting a client in Houston, TX to hire an experienced Cost Estimator for large-scale dredging bids. You will produce accurate cost estimates, review plans and bid documents, develop execution plans, and present findings to senior management.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate and detailed cost estimates for hard-bid projects.
• Develop execution plans and cost estimates for large-scale dredging projects.
• Review and summarize key elements of project plans, drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
• Develop clear and concise overview drawings for project presentations and bid discussions.
• Present project execution plans and estimates during bid review sessions with senior management.
• Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills throughout the estimating process.
• Work closely with various support departments in a collaborative team environment.
• Manage multiple estimating assignments and project tasks while effectively prioritizing deadlines.
• Provide estimating support to on-site Project Managers during project execution.
• Update and monitor project costs, production, and budgets throughout construction.
• Assist in evaluating project requirements, risks, production assumptions, and cost drivers.
• Communicate estimating assumptions, findings, and recommendations clearly to internal stakeholders.

Our Client is seeking an experienced Cost Estimator to support the planning, design, and pricing of bids for large-scale dredging projects. The ideal candidate will have strong estimating, analytical, and project planning skills, with the ability to develop accurate cost estimates, review project plans and specifications, and present estimates to senior management. Key Responsibilities

Minimum Requirements

Compensation & Benefits

$110,000 – $125,000 annual salary, based on experience and qualifications.
