Job summary

West Pharmaceutical Services seeks a cost accounting professional to join the centralized cost accounting team within the Financial Services group. You will manage accounting across multiple manufacturing sites, including journal entries and reconciliations.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, at least 3 years of accounting experience, and strong knowledge of GAAP and SAP. Hybrid work arrangement with onsite presence three days a week is offered.

Qualifications

• Accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment using SAP or other ERP.
• Understanding of GAAP and internal control principles.
• Highly proficient in written and spoken English.
• Proficient MS Office/Excel, with ability to learn quickly.
• Strong communication and people skills.
• Ability to work independently in a global environment.
• Able to comply with SOPs and safety/quality policies.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries related to manufacturing accounting and inventory reserves to support accurate and timely financial statements.
• Process manufacturing orders as part of month-end close.
• Participate in other monthly close activities for plants under responsibility.
• Prepare account reconciliations for proper balance sheet valuation.
• Calculate standard costing of products in SAP as part of new product workflow.
• Monitor variances to standard cost and correct errors.
• Support periodic cycle count process and reconcile 3rd party warehouses.
• Ensure controls and compliance with US GAAP.
• Support other functions within the business as required.
