Banesco USA is seeking a Corporate Lending Assistant for the Tampa Bay Corporate Banking Department located in St. Petersburg. The role supports Relationship Managers with daily loan and deposit portfolio management and ensures customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate has an Associate's degree in Business Administration and 5+ years of lending experience, with strong MS Office skills and attention to detail. A hybrid work schedule is available along with a comprehensive benefits package.

Job Title

Corporate Lending Assistant

Banesco USA is seeking a Corporate Lending Assistant for our Tampa Bay Corporate Banking Department located in St. Petersburg.

Primary Job Duties:

• Assist the assigned Relationship Manager with the daily management of loan and deposit portfolios.
• Responsible for resolving uncollected and overdrawn-related issues for the assigned Relationship Managers’ customers.
• Responsible for assisting the assigned Relationship Managers, and maintain the loan portfolio with minimum past dues.
• Responsible for handling all customer requests and issue resolutions ensuring quality customer service.
• Responsible for opening new accounts, and ensuring all the required documentation is received and completed.
• Ensure that all new accounts are opened according to the bank policy and regulatory guidelines.
• Responsible for handling all aspects of clients’ depository accounts with the Bank, this includes, but is not limited to opening, closing, superseding accounts, stop payments, managing exceptions, adjustments, reversals, account analysis, return items, and large items.
• Assist customers with account inquiries with regard to; wire transfers, advances, stop payments, loan payments, internal transfers, and open accounts.
• Responsible for all BSA matters for the assigned Relationship Managers including high-risk accounts, ECS exceptions, RFI’s and Know Your Customer form (KYC).
• Support the lending team in achieving high asset quality and portfolio risk profile for strong customer relationships.
• Assist the Relationship Manager with other duties and projects as assigned.
• Responsible for completing the annual training program assigned.
• Performs other functions and/or duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Education: Associate’s degree in Business Administration preferred or equivalent experience.
• Experience: Five (5) or more years of experience as a Lending Associate.
• Advance computer skills including but not limited to proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
• Strong customer service skills, ensuring satisfaction of both internal and external customers.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to multi-task, with strong organization, time-management and prioritizing skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment, in order to ensuring compliance with department procedures.
• Knowledge of related State and Federal banking compliance regulations and operational policies.
• Ability to understand and comprehend instructions, procedures and policies ensuring compliance with the Bank’s policies and procedures.
