Job summary

UL Solutions, a global leader in safety science, seeks a finance professional to support corporate development and capital planning. The role covers M&A process management, valuation, due diligence, deal structuring, and multi-year capital forecasting with senior leadership collaboration.

You will lead projections for acquisitions and investments, drive budgeting, and contribute to strategic decision-making across business units. This hybrid role is based in Northbrook or Chicago.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with 6–8 years in corporate development, strategic finance, investment banking, private equity or FP&A.
• Advanced degree and/or CPA a plus; global M&A experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supports acquisition target identification and investment opportunities.
• Ensures growth aligns with strategic initiatives.
• Develops financial projections for targets and investments.
• Performs discounted cash flow analyses for valuations and returns.
• Leads capital forecasting and multi-year planning with stakeholders.
• Supports post-investment return analyses and portfolio metrics.
• Manages due diligence across acquisitions and large investments.
• Prepares presentations for executive leadership and Board approvals.
• Leads transaction negotiations with legal teams.
• Adheres to Code of Conduct and security practices.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
