Janus Henderson Investors is seeking an Accounting Associate in Denver to assist with journal entries, analyses and monthly closings. You will support reconciliations, financial statements and data flows across departments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
• Good working knowledge of GAAP.
• Intermediate knowledge of MS Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of journal entries, financial analyses and financial statements including supporting documentation, income statements and balance sheets and other financial statements and reports and monthly account reconciliations and fluctuation explanations.
• Make recommendations relative to the accounting of reserves, assets, and expenditures.
• Research and resolve a variety of accounting items.
• Make recommendations and assist with the implementation of departmental procedures and systems.
• Understand the flow of data and how to use the various computer-based accounting programs.
• Work with other departments to maintain information flow and respond to inquiries regarding financial transactions.
• File and maintain records of Corporate Accounting data.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.
