Job summary

The Intersect Group is partnering with a large, well established organization to hire a Corporate Accountant in Atlanta, GA. This hybrid role offers exposure to corporate accounting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, and reporting functions within a stable finance team.

The role focuses on maintaining general ledger integrity and delivering accurate financial analyses, with opportunities for career growth under senior accounting leadership.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of progressive accounting experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and corporate accounting practices.
• Experience preparing journal entries, reconciliations, financial reports, and month end close activities.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including PivotTables, VLOOKUPs, and financial analysis.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports for the corporate general ledger.
• Support weekly forecasting activities and assist with annual budgeting processes.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of reconciling items.
• Process voided checks, invoice adjustments, and other accounting transactions as required.
• Set up and support treasury related transactions, including wire transfers.
• Review and approve accounts payable invoices through the company's approval workflow system.
• Assist with month end close and financial reporting activities.
• Perform ad hoc accounting analyses and special projects as assigned.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency.
