Job summary

Vertech is seeking a Summer Control Systems Integrator to help develop PLC/HMI based control systems for diverse clients in a hybrid environment across Austin, Irvine, Nashville or Phoenix. The role offers hands-on experience with world-class automation projects and a path to growth in industrial controls.

You will learn to write PLC code, design intuitive HMI interfaces, and participate in a cross-functional team, gaining exposure to languages like .NET, Java, Python, C and C++.

Qualifications

• BS in electrical, mechanical, chemical or related engineering field.

Responsibilities

• Learn the full spectrum of a project from defining, designing, developing, demonstrating and delivering a PLC/HMI based control systems
• Learn how to write structured, well-documented, bug-free PLC code
• Learn how to design intuitive, easy-to-navigate, aesthetically pleasing HMI interfaces.
• By the end of year one you will be able to work on a variety of projects developing PLC code or HMI screens.
• High level language programming for a variety of applications. This includes .NET, Java, Python, C, C++, etc.
• Learn and identify various SCADA packages and SCADA terminology
• Learn and identify various industrial MES packages and MES terminology such as OEE, Recipe management, downtime tracking, track and trace.
• Work in project teams ranging from 2-10 people with various technology backgrounds and tenure’s.
