We seek a Certified Addiction Counselor/Assessor to conduct comprehensive assessments, develop clinical recommendations, and support clients in accessing appropriate care. The role requires CAC credential in DC, collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, and adherence to HIPAA and payer requirements.

Qualifications

• Must have CAC credential in DC and maintain licensure/CE requirements.
• Experience with substance use disorders and ASAM assessments preferred.
• Knowledge of Medicaid documentation and compliance requirements is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct biopsychosocial and substance use assessments.
• Complete ASAM assessments and determine level of care.
• Develop treatment recommendations and coordinate referrals.
• Document clinical information accurately within timelines.
• Ensure compliance with DBHDS, Medicaid, and payer requirements.
• Collaborate with supervisors, therapists, and referral partners.
• Participate in supervision and quality improvement activities.
• Maintain client confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Support agency performance goals related to access and quality.
