Job summary

TexcelVision Inc. is seeking a skilled Business/Data Analyst to assess systems and user needs, mapping current and future processes, and defining data requirements. You will document BRDs, perform data profiling, and contribute to enterprise reporting throughout the SDLC.

Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and extensive SQL experience are essential. The role involves hybrid work in Austin, with a focus on data governance and analytics initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 8+ years as a Business Analyst / Business Data Analyst in enterprise IT or government environments.
• Experience documenting current-state and future-state business processes and data flows.
• Experience performing data analysis, profiling, validation, and documenting data elements and rules.
• Extensive SQL experience with complex queries, joins, and aggregations.
• Proven ability to elicit, clarify, and validate requirements via workshops and interviews.
• Translate requirements into BRDs and functional/data requirement documents.
• Experience defining KPIs and data sourcing requirements with reporting teams.
• Experience performing gap analysis between current processes/data and future-state.
• Experience supporting UAT with test scenarios and cases.

Responsibilities

• Review, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs.
• Formulate systems to parallel overall business strategies.
• Identify new applications of technology to business problems to improve effectiveness.
• Prepare solution options, risk identification, and financial analyses such as cost/benefit, ROI, buy/build.
• Write detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, data engineers, architects, and reporting teams throughout the SDLC.
• Support data governance, data quality initiatives, and enterprise reporting/analytics.
