Job summary

University of California, Merced seeks a Contract Administrator to manage complex business contracts and procurement documents. This role reports to the Deputy Chief Procurement Officer and supports UC policy compliance and campus goals in a hybrid, one-year contract position.

The selected candidate will collaborate with stakeholders, prepare, negotiate, and execute contracts, and help drive strategic procurement initiatives while maintaining high-quality customer service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration or related field.
• 3 years of procurement/contracting experience or paralegal project management experience, or 7 years of equivalent experience/education/training.
• Strong knowledge of internal policies, regulations and contract terms.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and administers business contracts and procurement documents.
• Negotiates and executes complex contract documents with internal stakeholders and partners.
• Provides management and administrative support to the Division of Finance and Administration.
