Job summary

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. in Chicago, IL invites energetic students pursuing a bachelor’s degree in construction management to join our PMCM team for a summer internship focused on hands-on project delivery, site inspections, and coordination with clients and engineers.

You’ll develop budgeting awareness, learn change orders, RFIs, and safety protocols while supporting schedule updates, progress reports, and closeout documentation under expert mentorship.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in construction management or related field.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for project site visits or client meetings.

Responsibilities

• Participate in site inspections to observe quality against standards and specs.
• Assist in tracking project expenses and budget monitoring processes.
• Prepare progress reports and project documentation; manage project drawings.
• Attend project meetings; identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Support safety protocols on-site and coordinate material deliveries and RFIs.
