Job summary

BCG Attorney Search seeks a Construction and Complex Liability Litigation Attorney in Costa Mesa, CA. The role defends clients in construction defect, premises liability, and catastrophic injury matters, with an Associate or Senior level depending on experience.

A flexible hybrid working arrangement is offered. The candidate will draft pleadings, manage depositions, and develop case strategy while coordinating with clients and opposing counsel.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of litigation experience required.
• Defense litigation experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with construction defect, general liability, or related complex litigation encouraged.
• Experience drafting discovery and motions required.
• Experience with court appearances and depositions preferred.
• Superior analytical, writing, and communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and legal memoranda.
• Handle court appearances, depositions, and mediations.
• Manage a litigation caseload with varying levels of independence.
• Develop case strategy and work toward efficient resolution.
• Communicate with clients, carriers, and opposing counsel.
• Prepare status reports and case evaluations.
• Collaborate with attorneys across offices and practice areas.
• For senior candidates, manage complex matters and mentor junior attorneys.
