Job summary

Bayer CropScience Limited seeks a Computer Vision and Data Analysis Co-Op in Chesterfield, MO, blending field trial data with digital phenotyping. Hybrid role with collaboration across Field Testing, Data Science, and Computer Vision teams.

The incumbent analyzes imagery and metrics, contributes to model development, and supports experimental design using UAV and remote sensing insights. Travel to nearby sites may be required as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Active MS or PhD candidate in data science, precision agriculture, or related fields.
• Proficient in Python; experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX.
• Strong foundations in core ML concepts (losses, regularization, SGD/Adam).
• Familiarity with agricultural field trials and remote sensing.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret imagery and metrics from field trial data using ML and CV techniques.
• Collaborate with Field Testing and Data Science teams to integrate insights into models and analyses.
• Support experimental design by integrating field assessments (UAV, remote sensing).
• Contribute to system and workflow improvements for large-scale data challenges.
