Job summary

San Andreas Regional Center (SARC) seeks a dedicated professional to coordinate a continuum of community resources for individuals with developmental disabilities. The role supports public information, implements the agency’s vision, and maintains strong community relations.

The position develops services for the catchment area, provides guidance to service providers, and monitors regulatory compliance and program effectiveness. A collaborative, proactive approach is essential.

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in social work or related field, or a BA in social work with four years of experience.
  • One year of experience in program development and/or community organization is desirable.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across media and to work with diverse agencies.

Responsibilities

  • Plans and initiates development of needed programs and services.
  • Provides technical assistance to service providers to ensure quality of services and program effectiveness.
  • Designs a service provider recruitment and orientation program.
  • Reviews proposed program designs for regulatory requirements.
  • Maintains an inventory of programs and services available for consumers in the catchment area.
  • Conducts quality assurance reviews of providers’ programs.
  • Reviews services to avoid duplication and ensure efficiency.
  • Develops, implements and monitors cost-effective alternative service models.
  • Resolves issues with consumers, care providers, parents and staff regarding regulatory requirements.
  • Trains and/or coordinates training to staff and providers on new services.
  • Conducts special projects as requested.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
