Job summary

CAIR-California Outreach Coordinator role in Anaheim, CA, part-time, up to 30 hours per week, focuses on strengthening ties with the Muslim community and expanding CAIR-CA's programs. You will coordinate events, engage volunteers, and promote civil rights and education throughout Southern California.

The position reports to the Outreach Manager and offers compensation based on skills and experience, with a strong emphasis on collaboration and community impact in a mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or at least two years of relevant professional experience in a related field.
• Two years of experience working with Muslim communities is preferred.
• Experience in community outreach, nonprofit organizations, volunteer coordination, or community organizing.
• Access to reliable transportation and the ability to travel throughout Southern California.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with professional and respectful communication.

Responsibilities

• Work with management to develop and implement outreach strategies for the Greater Los Angeles area.
• Build and maintain relationships with mosques, Islamic centers, MSAs, youth groups, and other partners.
• Coordinate and represent CAIR in community outreach and educational activities across the region.
• Recruit, engage, and support volunteers through ongoing outreach and events.
• Assist in planning fundraising campaigns, Ramadan outreach, and major events.
• Create and distribute educational materials and maintain inventory of outreach resources.
• Maintain records of outreach activities, partnerships, and events.
• Collaborate with internal departments to promote CAIR's services and programs.
• Identify opportunities to expand partnerships and awareness in the LA area.
• Attend internal and external meetings and trainings as needed.
