Job summary

McAfee seeks a Community Engagement Manager to lead strategy and execution of community programs across owned and third-party platforms. You will partner with Social, Brand, PR/Comms, Support, and Product Marketing to scale engagement and ensure high-quality experiences.

Based in Frisco, TX (hybrid), you will drive advocacy, guide guidelines and tone, and translate insights into actionable business impact. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in community management, social engagement, or customer/brand marketing.
• Proven experience shaping community strategy for a brand with high engagement.
• Strong leadership presence with sound judgment in ambiguous situations.
• Exceptional written communication with brand voice across audiences.
• Experience managing cross-functional stakeholders across Social, Brand, PR/Comms, Support, and Product Marketing.
• Analytical mindset with KPI definition, sentiment data interpretation, and optimization.
• Familiarity with social listening, moderation, and reporting tools.
• Highly organized and responsive, able to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the community management strategy across priority platforms (social, forums, review sites, and emerging channels).
• Lead day-to-day community operations, ensuring timely, high‑quality engagement, moderation, and response at scale.
• Establish and refine community guidelines, escalation frameworks, and tone‑of‑voice standards; act as a decision-maker.
• Identify and manage key community moments (product launches, campaigns, crises) with cross-functional partners.
• Translate community insights and sentiment into recommendations for Marketing, Product, and Customer Experience.
• Build and scale advocacy programs (power users, creators, ambassadors) to drive organic reach.
• Define success metrics and develop reporting to track community health and leadership impact.
• Partner with Customer Support to streamline escalation workflows and improve end-to-end experience.
