Job summary

The Goodman Theatre seeks a Community Programs Manager to lead the implementation and growth of key community learning programs within its Education and Engagement department. You will oversee program planning, curriculum development, Teaching Artist management, and partner engagement to deliver high-quality arts education across Chicago.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in arts education, community engagement or arts administration.
• Ability to plan, implement and evaluate community-based arts learning programs.
• Experience developing curricula and supporting Teaching Artists or contracted artists.
• Strong relationships with diverse communities and stakeholders.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, implementation and strategic growth of GeNarrations for adults 55+ across Chicago.
• Develop and maintain GeNarrations curriculum and resources.
• Recruit, onboard, schedule and support Teaching Artists.
• Serve as primary contact for participants and community partners.
• Lead planning, curation and growth of ACTivation workshop series.
• Create an annual calendar of adult arts learning aligned with priorities.
