Job summary

Citizens Bank Legal Department seeks an experienced attorney to join the Procurement Legal Team, handling commercial real estate and third-party vendor contracts. You will advise internal partners on risk and compliance, draft complex agreements, and coordinate with Real Estate, Facilities, and procurement to support strategic business objectives.

The role requires 3–5+ years in CRE matters within a regulated setting, JD with active bar status, and strong negotiation and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Active license and good standing to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 3–5+ years of experience with commercial real estate matters and vendor or similar commercial contracts within a large financial services organization or equivalent.
• Experience drafting and negotiating commercial real estate agreements and complex vendor or commercial contracts.
• Strong understanding of contractual risk areas including indemnification, privacy and data protection, IP, and risk management.
• Excellent verbal, written, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize, manage multiple matters, and interact with senior management and partners.
• Collaborative team player with ability to manage matters independently to completion.

Responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate, and execute commercial real estate agreements, including leases and related documents.
• Provide counsel to Real Estate and Facilities on CRE matters.
• Draft, negotiate, and execute complex vendor and commercial contracts.
• Advise business lines on indemnification, privacy, IP, and risk management aspects.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify risks and develop practical solutions.
• Manage multiple matters with attention to quality, timelines, and deadlines.
