New York Life Investments is seeking an associate to join its Commercial Real Estate Closing team. This role supports loan originators, borrowers, brokers, and counsel to facilitate the timely closing of real estate loans while ensuring underwriting and closing requirements are met.

The position is remote with a quarterly in-office day in New York. Ideal candidates have a finance/real estate background, knowledge of loan closings, and strong organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, or related field.
• Experience in commercial real estate financing and loan closings.
• Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Commercial Real Estate Paralegal experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate loan applications, commitments and term sheets.
• Review and negotiate loan documents with counsel and stakeholders.
• Manage disbursements and fee reconciliation.
• Prepare entity formation documents and coordinate lien searches.
• Coordinate closing documents and ensure timely deliverables.
• Oversee transaction management system data and approvals.
• Contribute to departmental projects.
