Qualifikationen

• 3+ years of commercial litigation experience.
• Active New York Bar admission.
• State court experience.
• Strong knowledge of the CPLR and state court procedures, enforcement strategies.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Proven ability to manage a substantial caseload efficiently while meeting deadlines.
• Comfortable collaborating and working independently with minimal supervision.
• Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills when interacting with clients, courts, and opposing parties.

Aufgaben

• Manage all phases of collection litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motions, and court appearances.
• Manage a high-volume caseload while meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy.
• Develop case strategies based on client objectives and collectability.
• Conduct asset investigations to identify collectible assets.
• Pursue judgment enforcement through bank levies, wage garnishments, property executions, turnover proceedings, and subpoenas.
• Communicate with clients regarding case status, strategy, risks, and outcomes.
• Negotiate settlements and draft/review settlement agreements and stipulations.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure efficient and consistent case handling.
• Maintain organized case files, documentation, and billing records while ensuring legal and ethical compliance.
• Use case management software and other technology to manage matters efficiently.
