Job summary

BJC Medical Group is seeking a Certified Nurse Midwife to provide comprehensive obstetric care at Progress West in O’Fallon, MO. The role blends inpatient and outpatient responsibilities, guided by physicians and clinical protocols.

You will monitor pregnancies, support labor, and counsel families, with independence under physician direction. Requires 2–5 years of experience and a Master’s in Nursing with an Advanced Practice RN license.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Nursing required.
• Current Advanced Practice RN license required.
• 2–5 years of obstetric/midwifery experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently under physician direction.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, counsel and educate patients to promote healthy living and primary prevention.
• Conduct examinations and take full medical history to identify care needs and develop a plan.
• Identify high-risk pregnancies and refer to doctors/specialists as appropriate.
• Supervise and assist mothers in labor, monitor fetus and manage pain as needed.
• Provide support after birth or events such as miscarriage or neonatal loss.
