Bon Secours in Culpeper is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) for urgent care. This role is cross-trained as MA/Patient Service Rep, supporting providers with exams, vital signs, injections, and specimen collection while delivering compassionate patient care.

The position emphasizes high-volume clinic operations, intake and documentation, and adherence to licensing, safety, and privacy standards. Education includes high school or GED and enrollment in an approved MA program;

Qualifications

• High School/GED required.
• Enrollment in an approved Medical Assistant program within 30 days of employment.
• Active Medical Assisting certification within 12 months of start date: CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA/NRCMA.

Responsibilities

• Record patients' medical history and vital signs in records.
• Interview patients to obtain medical info and vital signs.
• Prepare and administer medications as directed by physician.
• Collect blood or specimens and prepare them for testing.
• Explain treatment procedures and instructions to patients.
