Job summary

MatchPoint Solutions is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to support Azure and AWS infrastructure operations, migrations, automation, governance, and optimization. This contract role focuses on Azure/AWS environments, greenfield migrations, and implementing IaC practices.

You will contribute to architecture decisions, document infra mappings, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure, reliable, and scalable cloud solutions. This role is remote within the United States.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with AWS and Azure infra architecture and operations.
• Hands-on AWS migrations and cloud transition projects.
• Strong understanding of cloud governance, security, and optimization.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation tooling.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day Azure and AWS infrastructure operations.
• Assist AWS Greenfield migration and transition activities.
• Review and rationalize infra migrated to AWS.
• Identify opportunities to optimize and modernize cloud environments.
• Provide input on cloud architecture, design, and implementation planning.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure mapping and documentation.
• Support automation and governance initiatives.
• Review and remediate delivery from migrations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infra issues.
• Collaborate with teams on cloud initiatives.

Pay Range: $70/hr - $80/hr

Required Qualifications

• Hands‑on experience supporting AWS migrations and cloud transitions.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure operations, design, and architecture.
• Strong understanding of AWS networking, compute, storage, and security.
• Experience with automation and Infrastructure as Code.
• Understanding of cloud governance, optimization, and best practices.
• Ability to assess existing infrastructure and recommend improvements.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
