Job summary

Apptad Inc. is seeking a Hybrid Cloud Engineer to advance Azure infrastructure for on-prem and cloud environments. The role requires 5-7+ years of hands-on Azure engineering, with emphasis on landing zones, governance, and secure, scalable architectures.

It involves architecture design, deployment, and migration work, plus clear communication of complex concepts. The position is hybrid: 2-3 days onsite in Washington, DC for the first 90 days, with potential for more remote work thereafter.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on Microsoft Azure engineering experience (Azure Native services, architecture, deployments).
• Experience with Hybrid Cloud (Azure + On-Prem).
• IaC experience (Terraform, Bicep, ARM, Ansible, etc.).
• Understanding of Azure Landing Zones, governance, and enterprise Azure architecture.
• Experience with Azure networking, including ExpressRoute and hybrid connectivity.
• Proven experience delivering real Azure infrastructure/migration projects and discussion of role.
• Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts and project experience.

Title: Hybrid Cloud Engineer

Location: 555 Twelfth Street, Washington, DC 2-3 days onsite for first 90 days, then possibly more remote

Start: ASAP

Shift: Standard Office Hours

Experience: 5-7+ years

Certs / Degree: Preferred but not required

Must-Have Skills

• Strong hands-on Microsoft Azure engineering experience (Azure Native services, architecture, deployments) INCLUDING STRONG EXPERIENCE WITH AZURE LANDING ZONES
• Hybrid Cloud experience (Azure + On-Prem infrastructure)
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience (Terraform, Bicep, ARM, Ansible, etc.)
• Understanding of Azure Landing Zones, governance, and enterprise Azure architecture
• Experience with Azure networking, including ExpressRoute and hybrid connectivity
• Proven experience delivering real Azure infrastructure/migration projects (must be able to discuss their role and contributions)
• Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts and project experience
