Job summary

Great American Insurance Group's Reporting Systems team is seeking a Cloud Data Platform Intern for summer 2027. This hybrid role blends in-office collaboration with remote work, and you will develop Python data processes, API integrations, and Snowflake workflows.

You will write clean Python, handle API auth, run SQL queries, support ETL, validate data quality, and document your work. Pursuing CS degree with 2030 graduation preferred; minimum three days in office.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Computer Science or related field with 2030 graduation year preferred.
• Proficient in Python for data manipulation and API calls.
• Experience with REST API integration and JSON/XML data formats.
• Familiarity with Snowflake and Git/GitHub for version control.

Responsibilities

• Assist with developing and maintaining Python-based data processing and automation solutions, including integrations with REST APIs, databases, and Snowflake.
• Write clean and reusable Python code
• Work with API authentication and error handling
• Query and manage data using SQL
• Support ETL and data pipeline workflows
• Help validate data quality
• Troubleshoot pipeline issues
• Maintain technical documentation and operational logs
• Collaborate with senior engineers and analysts to deliver solutions while following coding, Git, and development best practices.
