Job summary

NetApp is seeking a Software Engineer to design and maintain automation and tooling for cloud services. You will work with experienced engineers to automate deployment, improve reliability, and optimize operational workflows across cloud environments.

You will contribute across the software development lifecycle, collaborating with teams to implement secure, scalable solutions using Python, Golang, Docker, and Kubernetes. A strong emphasis on automation and reliability guides daily work.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in software development, cloud engineering, DevOps, or site reliability engineering.
• Proficient with Python and Golang.
• Experience building or maintaining automation for Linux/Unix-like systems.
• Familiarity with REST APIs and data formats like JSON/YAML.
• Experience with public cloud services (Azure preferred) and containers such as Docker/Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automation and tooling to deploy and operate cloud infrastructure.
• Assist with command-line tools, APIs, PowerShell modules, Golang software and Kubernetes-based jobs.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, and reliability testing in non-production environments; document results and fix defects.
• Investigate issues using logs, metrics, traces, and diagnostics; implement enhancements.
• Contribute to infrastructure automation for storage, compute, networking, and cloud resources.
• Participate in incident response, production troubleshooting, and on-call processes.
