Job summary

Compeer Financial in Fond du Lac, WI is seeking a Closing Agent to accurately process, close, fund and service transactions secured by real estate. The role requires ensuring closings meet regulations and coordinating with internal teams and external partners.

Qualifications include an associate degree or equivalent, and licensing in notary and closing where applicable; knowledge of title documents and loan processes is essential. This hybrid role offers a mix of office and remote work within WI.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent required or related experience.
• Closing Agent License preferred (or ability to obtain within twelve months).
• Commissioned as a Notary Public for the state (or ability to obtain within three months).

Responsibilities

• Process, close, fund and service transactions secured by real estate properties.
• Ensure closings comply with laws, policies and procedures.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external partners for title commitments, appraisals and flood determinations.
• Review title documents and related filings to verify lien positions and signatures.
• Prepare settlement statements and disbursement agreements; assist with on-site closings as needed.
