Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University—School of Medicine is seeking a Clinical Research Nurse RS Base to support SOM investigators across inpatient and outpatient settings. You will manage an assigned portfolio, perform protocol-directed nursing care, and ensure safety, consent, and regulatory compliance while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

The role requires strong clinical judgment, nursing licensure, and experience with research coordination; occasional after-hours coverage and hybrid

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Virginia or eligibility
• Graduation from accredited nursing program
• Structured training in CITI, GCP, and research protocols

Responsibilities

• Provide protocol-directed nursing care and coordination for studies
• Ensure informed consent is obtained and ongoing
• Monitor participant safety and study data accuracy
• Maintain readiness through competency training and documentation
• Coordinate with investigators, study teams, and support services
