Job summary

Sedgwick in Glendale, CA is seeking a Claims Team Lead - Workers Compensation to oversee multiple teams of examiners and technical staff, guiding adjudication, training, and performance. This hybrid role blends leadership with hands-on claims expertise in a dynamic, client-focused environment.

You’ll provide technical and jurisdictional guidance on claims adjudication, manage complex, high-exposure files, oversee licensing and documentation, and drive process improvements.

Qualifications

• 6 years of claims experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required to include two (2) years claims supervisor experience.
• Licensing / Jurisdiction Knowledge: California workers comp claims handling experience & SIP

Responsibilities

• Oversees multiple teams of examiners and technical staff handling workers compensation claims for clients.
• Manages workloads, provides training, and monitors individual claim activities.
• Offers technical and jurisdictional guidance on claims adjudication and maintains regular diaries, especially for complex or high-exposure case.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred

Professional certification as applicable to line of business preferred
