Sedgwick is seeking a Claims Examiner to analyze workers' compensation claims for multiple clients. You will determine benefits due and adjudicate within service expectations, following industry best practices. A hybrid work arrangement is available in the Midwest region.

The role requires 5 years of claims management experience, with a high school diploma or GED and a preferred bachelor’s degree. MI licensing or reciprocal is desirable, and a comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Professional certification relevant to line of business preferred.
• 5 years of claims management experience or equivalent.
• Licensing: MI preferred or home state reciprocal.
• Jurisdiction knowledge: Midwest states.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and process workers' compensation claims to determine benefits.
• Negotiate settlement of claims within designated authority.
• Communicate claim activity with claimants and clients.
• Report claims to excess carriers and respond to directions.
