Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a Claims Examiner for Workers' Compensation in California to analyze claims, determine benefits due, and adjudicate within service expectations. You’ll assess exposure and work with clients to ensure accurate settlement decisions.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of claims management experience, CA licensing knowledge, and a commitment to quality service. This role offers a hybrid work arrangement and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred; professional certification as applicable to line of business preferred.
• Experience: 5 years of claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Licensing / Jurisdiction Knowledge: CA Required

Responsibilities

• Analyzing and processing claims through action plans to timely resolution by investigating information and determining exposure.
• Negotiating settlement of claims within designated authority.
• Communicating claim activity with the claimant and the client.
• Reporting claims to the excess carrier and responding to directions professionally.
