Job summary

Arizona Priority Care in Chandler, AZ is seeking a Claims Coordinator to support the Claims Department. A FT in-office presence is required for the first 60 days, with a hybrid schedule after training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year medical claims processing experience.
• Strong knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid guidelines, ICD-9, HCPCS/CPT, HCFA 1500s & UB04s.
• Prior customer service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of healthcare terminology and claim forms.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Document, analyze, and route medical documents to appropriate departments.
• Assist inbound provider calls and respond to emails from internal departments.
• Communicate resolutions to providers and internal teams.
• Review and analyze claims for appropriate authorizations and case IDs.
• Prepare medical records for scanning and routing; scan into the system.
• Perform data integrity validation checks on claims.
• Handle inquiries from providers in a courteous, timely manner.
• Process daily incoming documents via mail and fax.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and communicate to management.
• Work under guidance of Team Lead and meet timelines.
