Job summary

GFT in Tampa, FL is seeking an Entry Level Civil Site Design Engineer to join our Buildings & Places group on a hybrid schedule. You will assist with site and civil design tasks, prepare drawings, reports, and calculations, and coordinate with project managers and other professionals to advance public and private projects.

Qualifications include pursuing a ABET-accredited Bachelor's in Civil or Environmental Engineering, 0–2 years' experience, and basic CAD skills.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree from an ABET-accredited program in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• 0-2 years of experience in civil engineering, site, or land development.
• Demonstrated interest in civil site design or land development through coursework or internships.
• Basic proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Responsibilities

• Prepare project drawings, engineering reports and calculations.
• Support Project Managers and other professionals on design tasks.
• Assist in preparation of calculations, hydraulic models, drawings, and submission packages.
• Coordinate with project managers, landscape architects, surveyors, architects, and owners on public and private projects.
• Prepare stormwater management reports and permit applications.
