Job summary

STV is seeking an enthusiastic Civil Engineering Intern to join our team. This hybrid internship offers undergrad and grad students a chance to learn from our engineers on meaningful projects.

It requires at least 3 days in the office per week and a preference for a 3+ month commitment with potential for full-time work. Responsibilities include assisting design from concept to completion, coordinating with architects and engineers, preparing technical reports, and supporting development

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil Engineering at an ABET-accredited university.
• Knowledge of MicroStation, Civil 3D, AutoCAD is a plus.
• Experience in the architecture/engineering/construction management industry is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing civil engineering projects from concept to completion.
• Collaborate with architects, environmental engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate project elements.
• Interface with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to address project-related issues.
• Provide support in feasibility studies, site investigations, and risk assessments.
• Assist in preparing technical reports, narratives, and development applications.
• Contribute to the development of engineering designs and use AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Learn and apply current engineering standards and procedures on assigned projects.
• Provide assistance with the preparation of technical proposals and documentation.
• Perform other tasks to support project goals and team objectives.
