Job summary

McGivney, Kluger, Clark & Intoccia, P.C. is seeking an Associate Attorney to join our New York City metro area team. Attorneys can be based in Manhattan, Long Island, or New Jersey with flexible work arrangements available. The role offers professional growth in a supportive environment.

We require a JD, NY/NJ admission preferred, and 2–7 years of civil defense litigation experience with a salary range of $100,000–$150,000. Hybrid and in-office options are available.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice in the States of New Jersey and New York preferred.
• 2–7 years of experience as a civil defense litigator; salary commensurate with experience (range $100,000–$150,000).
• Previous civil defense litigation experience preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Attend depositions and court appearances.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in legal matters.
• Collaborate with colleagues on case strategy and management.
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, client communications, and discovery.
• Conduct legal research and analysis.
• Assist in the preparation of cases for trial with opportunity for second chair trial experience if desired.
