Job summary

KPFF Consulting Engineers in Seattle seeks a Civil CAD Drafter/Technician to support the design of civil infrastructure across the Pacific Northwest. You will create, manage, and update drawings with attention to presentation and detail, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams from day one.

The role offers in-office work with a path to hybrid scheduling after training, and you will contribute to projects ranging from feasibility to construction with emphasis on accuracy and coordination.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience or completion of a CAD Technical education program.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Detail oriented, organized, and good follow-through.
• Clear and collaborative communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Research jurisdictional codes and manuals to determine drafting and CAD requirements.
• Create project drawings and exhibit deliverables.
• Apply established company, jurisdiction, and project CAD standards.
• Maintain organization of project files.
• Prepare and edit plans, profiles, sections, and details from rough sketches and redline mark-ups.
• Perform vehicular turning studies using AutoTurn.
• Ensure presentation and overall drawing appearance and clarity.
• Coordinate with engineers and team members.
• Plot and scan drawings.
• Complete drawings and project responsibilities within acceptable timeline.
• For CAD Technicians, understand, model, and use Civil 3D design elements.
