Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
• 3-5 years of progressive information security leadership with 2-4 years of hands-on work (incident response, vulnerability management, secure architecture).
• Broad knowledge of information technology security functional areas and how it relates to research, finance, and IT resources.

Responsibilities

• 35%: Lead security program; hands-on threat hunting, vulnerability management, incident triage and remediation; build security plans.
• 30%: Enforce UC ANR security policies; align with UC-wide policy; lead risk assessment.
• 20%: Advise CIO/CRE and leadership on threats and investments; represent UC ANR in security councils.
• 15%: Contribute to security program budget; evaluate vendors and procure cost-effective tools.
