Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related area or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of progressive information security leadership with 2-4 years of hands-on work.
• Broad knowledge of information technology security areas relevant to a research university.
• Knowledge of privacy and security regulations applicable to higher education.
• Experience in IT security governance and policy enforcement.

Responsibilities

• Manage mitigation of security protocol breaches and lead IT security team.
• Maintain UC ANR-wide security policies and lead risk assessments.
• Advise leadership on emerging threats and security investments; represent UC ANR in councils.
• Assist in administration of the security program budget and vendor evaluation.
