Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active Illinois Bar admission.
• 3–4 years of commercial real estate experience with a law firm.
• Experience handling acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, development, and financing matters.
• Familiarity with title and survey review, zoning and land use regulations, and real estate due diligence.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, and client-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in the acquisition, disposition, and development of commercial real estate assets.
• Conduct and manage real estate due diligence, including title review, survey analysis, and site selection matters.
• Advise clients on zoning, land use, permitting, and entitlement issues.
• Draft and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, leases, easements, and related transactional documents.
• Assist with commercial real estate financing transactions.
• Counsel clients on new construction and development projects.
• Negotiate and document economic development incentives.
• Collaborate directly with clients and internal teams to manage transactions from inception through closing.
