Job summary

JMP Statistical Discovery LLC. is offering a Life Sciences internship focused on causal inference and advanced analytics.

Interns will work on developing causal workflows, testing and benchmarking methods, and documenting results while collaborating with leaders and scientists. We seek Master’s or PhD students in statistics, biostatistics, CS, data science, economics, or engineering who can start after December 2027.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Master’s or PhD in Statistics, Biostatistics, Computer Science, Data Science, Economics, Engineering or related life-science-analytic major, not graduating before December 2027.
• Strong knowledge about causal inference; knowledge about individual treatment effect is a plus.
• Excellent communication and coding skills, with demonstrated leadership and initiative.
• Curious, passionate, authentic and accountable; interested in the future of analytics and technology.

Responsibilities

• Program in R/Python/C++ to build causal inference workflows and methods.
• Explore and benchmark cutting-edge algorithms such as causal discovery or causal ML.
• Test, document, and promote work through written or video formats.
