Job summary

MSIG USA, the US-based subsidiary of MS&AD Insurance Group, is seeking a Catastrophe Modeling Analyst to join our team in a hybrid role based in the Atlanta area. You will work with vendors like AIR to perform account-level property modeling, analyze data for underwriters, and produce outputs for risk decisions.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years in catastrophe modeling, proficiency with Verisk CAT, Excel and SQL, and a quantitative degree.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of catastrophe modeling experience, preferably in commercial lines with portfolio focus.
• Proficiency in Verisk CAT modeling; Moody’s experience is a plus.
• Strong Excel and SQL; Python/VBA/R beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Perform account-level property catastrophe modeling and support underwriters with day-to-day requests.
• Review and validate high-impact modeling results and improve efficiency.
• Monitor aggregate exposures to mitigate losses from extreme events.
• Analyze underwriting data to manage MSMM's property portfolio.
• Develop and deliver modeling reports for senior leadership.
