Job summary

Valley Health System seeks a Radiologic Technologist for its Hybrid Lab to support real-time surgical imaging. You will prepare patients and equipment, perform imaging during procedures, and ensure safety and accuracy of images under radiologist supervision.

The role requires AMA-accredited radiology training, 2+ years hospital/surgical radiology experience, ARRT registration, and current BLS/ACLS credentials. Licensure in Virginia or state approval within 90 days may apply.

Qualifications

• Completion of an AMA accredited Radiology Technology program.
• Two years clinical experience as a Radiologic Technologist in a hospital or surgical setting.
• Two years of intensive training in special procedures preferred.
• ARRT (R) registration required.
• BLS Certification required.
• ACLS required.
• ARRT (VI) or ARRT (CV) registration within two years of hire.
• Virginia Radiologic Technologist license required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients, imaging equipment, supplies and other equipment for Hybrid surgical procedures accurately utilizing sterile technique.
• Provides support to physicians and other personnel in real-time surgery by evaluating radiologic options, performing radiologic imaging, and solving equipment issues to maximize efficiency.
• Performs radiologic imaging prior to, during, and after surgery to produce images for clinical guidance and navigation.
• Ensures correct positioning of patient, prepares equipment and monitors patient condition before, during and after scanning.
• Creates accurate, high-quality images by operating imaging equipment and Hybrid lab devices.
• Annotates images and sends studies to Imaging Systems with correct work lists.
• Adheres to radiation safety measures under supervision of Radiologist and follows safety policies.
• Supervises radiologic technology students during clinical rotations.
• Provides support for radiologic needs in operating room and invasive areas.
