Job summary

Maximus is seeking a CAL Test Engineer to support testing operations for network, server, and hardware changes in the Client Access Lab. You will execute functional, regression, and performance tests, coordinate onsite lab activities, and document results for deployment readiness.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, 1+ years of IT infrastructure testing, and the ability to work on-site in Tyson's Corner, VA as part of a hybrid schedule with potential remote work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 1+ years of hands-on IT infrastructure testing or systems support in an enterprise.
• Experience testing infrastructure components (servers, network devices, OS images, storage, security devices).
• Familiarity with performance/monitoring concepts (bandwidth, latency, throughput).
• Experience with change management processes (e.g., ServiceNow) and testing integration with changes.

Responsibilities

• Perform functional, regression, compatibility, and performance testing of IT/OT infrastructure components (servers, network devices, OS images, security devices).
• Conduct integration testing across infrastructure layers to validate interoperability and configuration compliance.
• Provide day-to-day operational support for the Client Access Lab (CAL) including lab coordination.
• Develop and maintain test plans, cases, and reports with traceability to requirements and changes.
• Support break-fix and restoration testing to validate system integrity post-restoration.
