Job summary

University of Colorado Boulder is seeking a CAD/GIS/Space Optimizing Technician to support PD&C by updating CAD drawings, maintaining space databases, and enhancing campus GIS data. You will verify field conditions, manage project documentation, and collaborate with Space Optimization teams to improve space utilization.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree related to geography/GIS or engineering, strong CAD/GIS skills, and the ability to work in a hybrid environment with some in-person duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in geography, GIS, architecture, engineering, CS or related field.
• Professional experience can substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• CAD Office: locate information from archives and improve metadata.
• Maintain electronic drawing files per CAD standards and field-verify conditions.
• Update space and floor plans; collect close-out information for projects.
• Document and archive records to reflect built conditions accurately.
• GIS: perform data collection, cleanup, and data delivery tasks.
