Job summary

The University of Colorado Boulder seeks a CAD/GIS/Space Optimizing Technician to support planning, design, and campus data management. You will maintain floor plans, archives, GIS, and space databases, helping campus entities plan and operate efficiently.

Daily tasks include updating AutoCAD floor plans, managing archives, field verification, data entry, and collaborating with the Office of Space Optimization to populate the AssetWorks Space Module.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience as noted in job posting.
• Experience with measuring devices and field sketching is a plus.
• Ability to read construction documents and identify discrepancies.

Responsibilities

• Assist CAD Office customers by locating requested information from archives and improve metadata.
• Maintain electronic drawing files per established CAD standards and perform field verifications.
• Collect close-out info for projects including drawings, specs, and manuals.
• Archive records with correct metadata and update space and campus databases.
• Update GIS data and assist with campus space optimization tasks.
