Job summary

First Citizens Community Bank is seeking a Compliance Support professional to help ensure adherence to BSA/AML/OFAC requirements and assist with regulatory reporting. The role supports monitoring activities, alert handling, and document preparation across the compliance function.

The position emphasizes strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, and proficiency with Microsoft Office, with preferred auditing experience and relevant accounting education to support regulatory compliance

Qualifications

• General knowledge and understanding of compliance and security-related laws and regulations, such as BSA/AML/OFAC.
• Strong organizational, time management, problem prevention, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to convey detailed information clearly.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn position-related systems.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
• Auditing experience and knowledge of accounting principles preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining BSA/AML/OFAC requirements and monitoring cash transaction activity to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Assist in preparing compliance reports by documenting findings and submitting SARs and CTRs.
• Assist in handling alerts from the BSA/AML monitoring system.
• Perform operational support duties such as verifying CIF setups, photo IDs, and W-9s.
• Assist officers and analysts in evaluating internal controls and reviewing government lists for OFAC matches.
• Develop and maintain knowledge in compliance and security matters and communicate professionally with staff.
