Advanced Diabetes Supply® is seeking a Billing Specialist to obtain pre-certification and prior authorizations for DME procedure codes by coordinating with commercial payers. The role supports the Insurance & Billing leadership teams and ensures HIPAA compliance.

The position is hybrid in Doral, FL, with an on-site-first 90-day period and standard 8:00 AM–4:30 PM EST hours, plus one Saturday per month. You will handle communications with patients and providers, and maintain accurate records in

Qualifications

• Knowledge of insurance verification and/or authorization and billing processes.
• Familiarity with Medicare/private insurance guidelines and portals.
• Ability to learn new systems and perform data entry accurately.

Responsibilities

• Initiates prior authorization submissions and follows up until determinations.
• Compiles pre-certification information and submits requests via calls or online portals.
• Performs regular follow-ups with payers and logs approvals in the database.
• Communicates with patients, doctors, and insurers to complete tasks.
• Maintains HIPAA-compliant documentation and notes in the system.
• Adapts quickly to process changes and participates in meetings.
