Job summary

Michigan Medicine is seeking a Research Area Specialist Intermediate Term-Limited for the Mixed Methods Program (MMP) in Ann Arbor, MI. The role focuses on grant-funded projects, training workshops, and methodological consultations, with strong bilingual Spanish-English qualifications and a passion for learning mixed methods.

You will work with MMP leadership to support design, data collection and analysis, translation of study materials, and dissemination of findings.

Qualifications

• Advanced professional fluency in written and spoken Spanish and English.
• Graduate degree in a health-related field (nursing, social work, medicine, public health, etc.).
• Minimum of 1 year of experience on qualitative or mixed methods studies/projects.
• Field experience collecting and analyzing qualitative data, including interviews.

Responsibilities

• Support execution of grants and projects, including study design, data collection and analysis, and manuscript preparation.
• Translate and back-translate study materials between Spanish and English with linguistic accuracy.
• Collect and analyze data reported in Spanish.
• Support training activities, workshops, and consultations.
• Gather literature relevant to study design and content area.
• Summarize and present findings in written, tabular, and visual formats.
• Attend and contribute to meetings.
